Introducing Supersport 400, the most powerful production Morgan to date. Producing more than 400bhp for the first time in a production Morgan, Supersport 400 establishes a new flagship at the pinnacle of the Supersport range and marks a significant step forward in the evolution of Morgan performance.

Supersport 400 represents a more focused interpretation of Supersport, where performance, precision and engagement are brought into sharper definition. Building on Supersport’s composure and usability, the new model delivers a more intense and deliberate driving experience, with a clear emphasis on dynamic capability.

Launched in 2025, Supersport introduced a new level of dynamic sophistication to the Morgan range, underpinned by the advanced CXV aluminium platform and an intelligent integration of modern engineering and traditional coachbuilding.

Supersport 400 builds directly on this foundation, unlocking greater potential from the Supersport architecture through targeted engineering development and increased performance. Supported by Morgan’s long-standing technical partnership with BMW, this increase in performance is delivered with precision, poise and balance.

The introduction of Supersport 400 also marks the beginning of a new phase of strategic growth and product development for Morgan. Over the coming months, a series of bespoke and limited-run collections will be introduced, expanding the portfolio in carefully considered directions while continuing to build global presence and sales momentum.

Supersport 400 therefore represents both a product milestone and a clear signal of forward momentum. As a natural progression of the Supersport platform, it broadens the company’s performance offering while remaining true to Morgan’s core principles of lightweight construction, craftsmanship and analogue driver engagement.

“Supersport 400 is the purest expression of Supersport, signalling a natural progression for the range and allowing us to unlock greater possibilities from the CXV platform, all while remaining true to Morgan’s core principles of creating beautiful and engaging lightweight sports cars.

“From the outset, our aim has been to create a vehicle that is sharper and more deliberate, ensuring the additional power is delivered in a way that feels balanced, intuitive and deeply rewarding for the driver. At the same time, a subtle design evolution gives Supersport 400 a more distinct and purposeful character.

“We are immensely proud of Supersport 400. It stands at the pinnacle of our range and reflects the progress we are making as a business. It demonstrates how we can evolve our platform to increase capability in a way that remains distinctly Morgan — defined by handcrafted construction, human engagement in the driving experience and a commitment to delivering pure driving joy.

“That progress is being seen across the business, through the dedication of our colleagues, growing momentum in key markets including the United States and Europe, to continued investment in research, development and new models. Supersport 400 is a fundamental part of our journey.”

Driver Focus

Supersport 400 is the most dynamically capable Morgan to date, building on the responsiveness, precision and composure of Supersport with a greater emphasis on driver engagement.

Offered as an option on Supersport, Morgan’s Dynamic Handling Pack is fitted as standard to Supersport 400. Specifically recalibrated for the new model, the pack features adjustable front and rear Nitron dampers with bespoke valving and spring rates tuned to deliver optimum performance. With 24 clicks of damping adjustment, drivers can refine ride and response to suit their preferences and the road conditions.

Revised suspension geometry and damping characteristics improve body control and stability, delivering more predictable and accurate responses to driver inputs. The result is a chassis that feels more controlled and more resolved, particularly during intensive cornering, whilst retaining the fluency and approachability of the Supersport platform. An optional limited-slip differential further enhances traction, stability and control.

Supersport 400 is powered by the latest BMW B58 ‘O1’ inline six-cylinder turbocharged engine, paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox. Delivering 402 bhp, the powertrain provides immediate and responsive performance. Integrated within the CXV aluminium platform, the engine is carefully calibrated to maintain balance, precision and purity in the driving experience.

The advanced CXV aluminium platform, first introduced with Supersport, provides the structural foundation for this increased capability. Supersport 400 represents the fullest realisation of the architecture’s potential, combining increased power with enhanced chassis control and dynamic precision, allowing the driver to fully access its performance.

While the increase in output is significant, the engineering intent extends beyond outright performance. Supersport 400 retains Morgan’s lightweight engineering philosophy, ensuring that additional power is delivered with precision and control. Morgan’s long-standing technical partnership with BMW continues to underpin this approach, combining increased performance with refinement and efficiency.

A new high-flow Active Performance Exhaust System has been developed specifically for Supersport 400, delivering a more pronounced and purposeful soundtrack. Tuned to complement the engine’s characteristics, it enhances the sense of performance and strengthens the connection between driver and machine.

Despite its increased capability, Supersport 400 remains intuitive and confidence-inspiring to drive. This balance between performance and usability ensures it can be enjoyed across a wide range of conditions by drivers of varying experience.

Analogue driver connection remains central. Steering feel, throttle response and chassis feedback are unfiltered, immediate and highly communicative, reinforcing a direct relationship between driver, machine and road.

As with all Morgan models, the relationship between power, weight and response remains fundamental. Supersport 400 is defined not simply by its output, but by the manner in which that performance is delivered — more focused, more precise and more resolved, yet entirely faithful to Morgan’s core values.

“Morgan has long been recognised for craftsmanship, quality, story-rich design detail, and for delivering joyful driving experiences. Our cars enable personal expression through elegant, often eccentric proportions, brought to life by skilled artisans and informed by modern technology. Supersport 400 builds on that foundation, but more importantly moves us forward, establishing Morgan as a credible high-performance sports car manufacturer, benchmarked against the best in the world.

“From the outset, the new chassis and Supersport programme were conceived with far greater potential. Supersport 400 is the next step in realising that. It marks a significant milestone in the evolution of our performance offering, strengthening a pillar that now sits confidently alongside fine coachbuilding and bold, timeless design.

“Supersport 400 also plays an important role in the continued development of our Colour, Material and Finish strategy, as we expand our in-house expertise and explore more considered ways to express materiality within our cars, bringing to life the visions of our customers.”

Jonathan Wells, Chief Design Officer, Morgan Motor Company

Purposeful Evolution

Supersport 400 presents a considered evolution of the Supersport design language, reflecting its enhanced performance while maintaining the clarity and restraint that define a modern Morgan.

Rooted in Morgan’s functional design philosophy, every element is integrated into the car’s form rather than applied as decoration. Supersport 400 builds on this approach through subtle yet deliberate enhancements that communicate its increased focus and capability.

The introduction of front wing vents provides both functional and visual benefit. Integrated cleanly into the bodywork, they improve airflow and cooling while signalling the car’s heightened performance in a restrained and purposeful manner.

The lower bodywork, finished in satin grey on Supersport, is now presented in gloss. This change increases contrast between the flowing aluminium surfaces and the car’s technical elements, reinforcing the relationship between design and engineering.

Lightweight forged 19-inch Sportlite alloy wheels are fitted as standard. Reducing unsprung mass and rotational inertia, they contribute to improved dynamic response while establishing a more assertive visual stance. Finished in mid-silver as standard, an optional Dark Bronze finish is also available. Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres are specified to complement their performance characteristics.

Inside, Supersport 400 introduces a series of enhancements that reinforce its more focused, performance-led character while remaining true to Morgan’s commitment to craftsmanship and material quality.

Alongside the full leather interior, Morgan’s in-house Colour, Material and Finish (CMF) expertise has developed a range of Alcantara options. Available in single-tone black or four two-tone combinations, each paired with a complementary leather, these materials introduce a more tactile and engaging environment. The use of Alcantara extends to the steering wheel, enhancing driver interaction.

A unique Supersport 400 stitch pattern extends across the seats, doors and transmission tunnel to create a cohesive visual identity throughout the cabin.

Bespoke instrument dial artwork further distinguishes the model within the Supersport range. Manufactured by Caerbont, the original manufacturer of Smiths dials in the UK, the dials retain an analogue appearance while operating through CAN and LIN communication technology.

An optional aluminium automatic gear selector is introduced for the first time on a CX-Generation Morgan. Finished in anodised dark grey aluminium, it provides a precise and tactile interface, combining ergonomic clarity with a contemporary material finish. When specified, it replaces the standard automatic shifter and is introduced exclusively on Supersport 400.

Together, these elements create an environment that is more focused and more resolved, where material, form and function work in unison to support the driver.

An expression of individuality

Supersport 400 furthers Morgan’s philosophy that every car is commissioned as an individual expression of its owner and coach-built by the company’s skilled artisans at Pickersleigh Road.

Supersport 400 introduces four newly formulated satin paint finishes: ‘Forged Grey’, ‘Silk Silver’, ‘Sail Silver’ and ‘Horizon Blue’. Together, they offer a refined, contemporary palette that complements the car’s form while expanding the range of available exterior treatments. An optional contrast grey hardtop can also be specified, echoing the technical lower bodywork and adding a distinct visual character to the car.

Optional coral accent detailing can be specified across exterior graphics, brake callipers and interior elements, including marquetry veneers, providing a subtle yet distinctive contrast.

The use of marquetry continues Morgan’s tradition of integrating handcrafted detail within the cabin. Each piece reflects the skill and precision of the company’s artisans, creating a distinctive signature within the interior. These elements enable further personalisation, with each commission developed through close consultation with Morgan’s design team and dealer network to achieve a considered and individual result.

Morgan’s next chapter

The introduction of Supersport 400 marks a significant moment for Morgan Motor Company, signalling a renewed phase of growth for the British sports car manufacturer. As the latest flagship model, Supersport 400 establishes a new level of performance, refinement and positioning within the global market for bespoke sports cars.

Supersport 400 is available to order now, with production commencing in May. While it will be built in carefully managed volumes, it remains a series production model and will be offered across all Morgan retailers in the UK, Europe and Rest of World markets currently representing Supersport.

The launch also marks the beginning of a broader product programme. Over the next 18 months, Morgan will introduce a series of bespoke and limited-run collections, expanding the portfolio in considered directions.

This momentum builds on continued success in Europe, where Morgan has strengthened its retail footprint over the past 12 months, and in the United States, where the company is on course for a record year, with Plus Four introducing a new generation of customers to the brand.

Morgan continues to invest in research and development, resource across the business, and its Malvern headquarters, supporting the delivery of future model programmes.

This approach reflects Morgan’s vision of modern coachbuilding — blending traditional craftsmanship with advanced technology — and is embodied in Supersport 400.
